Gold Coast Hinterland
Situated just south of Brisbane and West of the excitement of the Gold Coast is the magnificent Gold Coast Hinterland.
It's lush, it's green, it's full of gorgeous retreats, chalets and B&Bs and they usually incorporate fireplaces and spa baths and the most amazing views - how romantic! Rather a pleasant way to spend a weekend or a few days away with your loved one.
You can walk on some of the most scenic walking trails in South East Queensland at Tamborine and Springbrook Mountain in the Hinterland but you can also immerse yourself in the sheer indulgence of doing nothing but - well being together. I think that is a nice idea!
Winter or summer, the Gold Coast hinterland is a top spot for doing loads or doing nothing. Top pick from this Toowoomba lady!
Places to see: Mount Tamborine, Springbrook, Lamington National Park, Tamborine National Park and so much more.
Climate: Summer is less humid than at the sea level locations and winter is yummy snuggle up by the fire weather.
Things to do: Winery tours, picnics, walking, hiking, spa indulgences, dining, or simply nothing!
